Herbal medicine consultations can be held either in person with our Medical Herbalist Abi either at The Sage Apothecary’s Herbal Dispensary and Clinic in Bideford, Devon or online from the comfort of your own home.
First Consultation
The first consultation is an in-depth exploration into your current healthcare concerns and can take up to an hour and a half to complete.
At The Sage Apothecary, we recognise that no two patients are cut from the same cloth – everyone is unique – so we take a deep dive into your medical history, lifestyle and diet alongside tongue diagnosis, blood pressure readings, and if required, clinical examinations.
During this time we run through each of your body systems and this complete medical history allows us to gain a holistic picture of not only your current state of health, but also if any patterns exist across your own personal timeline.
From this exploration we’ll formulate a bespoke herbal strategy and treatment plan – that is totally and uniquely you – and will ultimately help bring your health back into balance.
Follow up Consultations
Follow-up consultations are shorter and can last up to 45 minutes. These follow ups allow us to assess your progress, are an opportunity for you to give feedback and as result, make any tweaks to your herbal strategy, treatment plan and medicine.
Online Consultations
Can’t make it to our herbal clinic and dispensary? Don’t worry online appointments can take place in the comfort of your own home via zoom. They’ll follow exactly the same format as above just make sure you have a nice quiet space where you won’t be interrupted (although pets on laps are optional, if not encouraged).
At the end of the consultation your bespoke herbal medicine prescription will be mailed out to you. Simple.
